Tue April 29th, 2025
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War, which starred Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor, was originally scheduled for release on Christmas 2025 but was later moved to Eid 2026. According to recent sources, the movie has experienced yet another delay; the new plan calls for a theatrical release on Independence Day in 2026. According to reports, Ranbir and Alia have been filming some of the project's emotional monologue scenes lately.
The main actors have been recording nightly scenes at Joker Maidaan in Film City, Goregaon, according to a daily. According to reports, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who is renowned for his ability to skilfully combine mood and narrative, is now concentrating on capturing the love story's most important emotional moments.
Over the past three days, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are reportedly working on long, emotional speeches while filming from 6 p.m. to daylight.
It was also suggested that Bhansali, who aims for almost lyrical imagery in each frame, intended for these intensely felt sequences to take place at night in order to enhance their impact.
An intricate action scene still needs to be filmed, the newspaper added. It stated that the movie should be ready for a March premiere if this sequence is finished by August; if not, its release may be delayed until mid-2026. The project is now proceeding according to plan.
The crew will begin recording inside scenes once the current night shoots are likely to wrap up over the weekend.
Ranbir Kapoor, meanwhile, has a number of fascinating future movies, including Animal Park, Ramayana Parts 1 and 2, Dhoom 4, and maybe Brahmastra 2 and 3. Alia Bhatt, meantime, is in talks with Dinesh Vijan for Chamunda and will next be seen in Alpha from Yash Raj Films.
