As his son Ahan Shetty prepares to appear on screen alongside stars Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Sunny Deol in the upcoming action film Border 2, Suniel Shetty is a proud and happy parent. The actor from Main Hoon Na recently went to Amritsar's Golden Temple. He spoke with the media during his visit and praised the Punjabi musician, saying that he is now well-known throughout the world.
One of the most anticipated films, Border 2 is scheduled to be released on theaters on January 23, 2026. The movie also features Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, in addition to Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan. During his recent visit to Punjab's Golden Temple, Suniel Shetty revealed his delight about his son's upcoming role in Diljit.
Speaking to local media, the seasoned Bollywood star said, “Mai khush hun kyunki Diljit ke saath Ahan ko bhi mauka mil raha hai film Border 2 me kaam karne ka. Toh beta kaam kar raha hai toh mujhe both khushi hai. Aur internationally known hai toh aashirwaad hamesha rahega. Aur yehe chahunga ki aur bada star bann jaae. (I am very happy because, along with Diljit, Ahan is getting the opportunity to work in Border 2. Son is working, so I am happy. Moreover, he is internationally known, and my blessings will always be with him. I wish he becomes a bigger star.)”
Suniel Shetty shared a monochromatic photo of himself and his wife, Mana Shetty, following their trip to the Golden Temple on Instagram a few hours ago. The chance to be able to pray at the sacred location made the actor feel "blessed."
Ahan released a video a few months back in which the Border 2 creators greeted him. Calling the movie “a dream come true,” he posted, “Ironic how life works—my journey with Border started 29 years ago, when mom visited dad on set while pregnant with me. I grew up hearing OP Dutta’s legendary stories, holding JP uncle’s hand, and sitting by @nidhiduttaofficial side. I never realized how much those moments would shape my love for cinema and the Indian Armed Forces. Now, being part of Border 2 is an absolute honour.”
On January 23, 2026, the film, which is directed by Anurag Singh and supported by Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, will be released in theatres.
