Shahid Kapoor Reveals Why Mira Isn't Allowed to Read His Scripts!
Actor and heartthrob Shahid Kapoor is presently promoting his next film, Deva, with great vigor. He talked about his previous movie, Kabir Singh, and whether his wife, Mira Rajput, helps him choose screenplays during the promotional events. She is "too expensive" for him to afford, he said in a hilarious way.

Shahid Kapoor joked that his wife Mira Rajput is "too expensive" for him to afford when asked if he wants her to read the screenplay or if he consults her before signing a deal. More somberly, he clarified that the performer should have complete control over the choice of movie.

He made it clear that although he talks to people about his decisions and takes into account their viewpoints, he always has the last say. Shahid emphasized that he must take full responsibility for the journey since it is linked to his professional and personal development.

Shahid Kapoor was asked about the responses to his 2019 film Kabir Singh, which generated a variety of perspectives. Some praised the film as his best performance, while others accused the team of glamorizing toxic masculinity.

The Deva actor was incredibly proud of the movie, saying, "I’m just very proud of that film. There’s a sense of pride within me because we did something that was... for me, playing a character with issues, or one with grey or dark shades, or a character with disturbing traits as the protagonist, is truly a dream come true."

He stated that he does not consider his characters to be a mirror of himself and that he is not scared to portray reality on TV. Shahid went on to say that his objective is to comprehend the characters he plays, not to like them.

According to him, it is up to the audience to decide whether they like or loathe a character he portrays; if they don't, it indicates that he has persuaded them, which fascinates him as an actor.
