Fans are excitedly awaiting Anushka Sharma's acting return in the biographical movie Chakda 'Xpress, which is based on cricket legend Jhulan Goswami. The movie's current state is unclear, though. Prior to being placed on hold, it was supposed to launch on Netflix in October 2023, but there is now no word on when it will happen. Jhulan has now spoken out about the movie and revealed that she is unaware of its releasing date.
Former cricket player Jhulan Goswami stated in an interview with a daily that she is unaware of any release date information. "I said," she said, “Mereko aisa koi news nahi hai aur call mujhe kar rahe sab.” (I don’t have any such news but people are calling me).
She went on to say that she doesn't want to discuss it further.
Chakda 'Xpress, which was produced in partnership with Clean Slate Filmz, was originally scheduled for release in October 2023. The Hollywood Reporter reported that when the Anushka Sharma film was shelved, it was nearly finished, with just a few visual effects shots remaining.
However, the movie's premiere date is still unknown because Netflix and Clean Slate Filmz split up. Although an official statement has not yet been released, it is reported that the delay was caused by budgetary restrictions and creative disagreements.
Chakda 'Xpress, a biography of cricket legend Jhulan Goswami, was written by Abhishek Banerjee and directed by Prosit Roy. It was intended to be distinct from sports biopics. After returning from her maternity leave, Anushka Sharma allegedly undertook more than seven months of rigorous training for the movie.
