With an unmatched track record, Alia Bhatt is one of the most renowned figures in contemporary Hindi cinema. After finishing filming Alpha, a movie about the YRF Spy Universe, the actress joined Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love and War. Alia has given SLB bulk dates through November 2025 and has started looking for a movie to release beyond that. According to sources, Dinesh Vijan and Alia Bhatt are negotiating a feature film.

Sources familiar with the situation claim that Alia Bhatt has been visiting Maddock's office to talk about a supernatural horror film. “Alia has always discussed multiple feature films with Dinesh Vijan and is now on the verge of collaborating with the producer. The actress has loved a psychological supernatural thriller, which could be her next after Love And for the big screen. The talks are on, and things are expected to be on paper by the first quarter of 2025,” disclosed a source with knowledge of the development.

Since the name has meaning for the film's plot, which is still in the scripting stages, the film has been tentatively titled Chamunda. “Alia is excited to partner with Maddock on this feature film, which could start a parallel universe alongside the horror comedy universe comprising of Stree, Bhediya, Munjya, and Thamma. The new universe will feature, Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani among many others,” the source revealed.

In the meantime, Alia Bhatt and a filmmaker who produced a 200-crore smash in 2022 are talking about a love story.
