Throwback: Priyanka Chopra, Dia Mirza, Lara Dutta with Shah Rukh Khan - A Timeless Picture!

Dia Mirza posted a couple images from the 2000 Miss India pageant on Instagram today, January 23, 2025. She was spotted posing with former pageant winners Sushmita Sen, Aishwarya Rai, and Diana Hayden, as well as Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta. In another picture, Dia was seen kissing Lara on the cheek. The pair and Priyanka with Shah Rukh Khan were depicted on the final slide.

 

In the caption, Dia posted, “Throwing it back to the beginning of a new millennium. 15th of January 2000.” She described the Miss India pageant as a spectacle and revealed that each contestant went on to write their own narrative.

 

Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, Anjolie Ela Menon, Carolina Herrera, Marcus Swarovski, Pritish Nandy, Mohammed Azharuddin, and Waheeda Rehman were all referred to as "iconic" by the Dhak Dhak actress.

Dia Mirza went on to commend the hosts, mentors, stylists, and set designers for their outstanding effort. "The past winners made their winning moments very special," she disclosed.

 

Dia recalled being in awe at the Shah Rukh Khan photo shoot, “The photoshoot with Shah Rukh Khan right after our win happened backstage. What a moment of wonderment for a completely awestruck Hyderabadi who grew up adoring him with all my heart! The cover shot is evidence.”

 

She further added, “It’s been 25 years since this paradigm shift. And I am grateful for it.”

 

Dia expressed her affection for Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta, who shared those experiences with her, saying, “@larabhupathi @priyankachopra I love and admire you both. We went on to make history that year by winning all 3 international titles.”

 

Lara Dutta talked on how their sisterhood and friendship have endured to this day in the comments section. She referred to having this ride with them as a "privilege."
