Under Attack Online: Sonu Nigam Deals with Fraud and X Imposters!

These days, online fraud is common, and even well-known Bollywood celebrities are falling prey to it. Singer Sonu Nigam accused Paatal Lok actress Tillotama Shome of improperly utilizing his identity. Additionally, he disclosed that contentious posts have been made on X under his name.

Recently, Sonu Nigam used his Instagram account to warn his followers about the internet scam he fell for. In his tweet, the elder singer claimed that his identity has been being misused online.

 

He further wrote, “Please note that no one from my team has ever reached out to anyone on my behalf for any reason. If someone claims to be from my management and contacts you out of the blue, please treat it with caution!”

 

The Pal Pal Har Pal musician went on to say in the long letter that he hasn't used the microblogging platform X (previously Twitter) in eight years. Nonetheless, some accounts that people might mistakenly think belong to him are actually managed by someone else and frequently publish contentious material under his name.

 

"If you come across such fake accounts or messages, please report and block. Thank you to those who've flagged the issue to me. And thank you so much, my extended family, for your continued support and understanding," the singer stated.

 

Nigam took a time to make a crucial clarification in the captions. He revealed, "If you come across any suspicious/fake messages under my name, it would be great if you could report or block the account. Thank you everyone for your support and understanding."

 

Actress Tillotama Shome of Pataal Lok also warned fans a day ago after scammers used her name to defraud others. Using her social media account, she said, "This is not my number. The photo being used as the DP is of our film @bakshobondifilm. It was since removed. To whoever you may be, please don't use my name to ask the people I know for things. STOP."
