Nitin Desai's sad demise at the age of 57!

The whole film industry was shocked by the passing of renowned art director and producer Nitin Chandrakant Desai on Wednesday morning. In addition to Lagaan, Khamoshi, Devdas, The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, and other well-regarded movies, Desai also directed a number of them. He was allegedly discovered hanging at the headquarters of his own business, ND Studios, in Karjat, Maharashtra. Desai was reported to be having financial difficulties. The results of his postmortem have now been made public by the police.

 

Earlier, the SP of Raigad district in Maharashtra had confirmed the death of Nitin Desai after they reached the ND Studios after being called by the set workers. The Khalapur police brought the body to JJ Hospital to conduct a postmortem. On Wednesday, August 2, a team of four doctors performed a postmortem on the late art director and early findings indicate that the cause of death is due to hanging.

 

Earlier, the set workers at the ND Studios summoned the SP of Raigad district in Maharashtra, who arrived and confirmed Nitin Desai's death.

 

In the past, Nitin Desai collaborated with well-known directors like Rajkumar Hirani, Ashutosh Gowariker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and others. Additionally, he was the recipient of four national honors for art direction. Numerous Bollywood stars, including Akshay Kumar, Madhur Bhandarkar, Riteish Deshmukh, Hema Malini, Parineeti Chopra, and others, posted on social media to express their astonishment at his abrupt passing and express their grief.

 

Nitin Desai's funeral services will be held on Friday, August 4, after his American-based family has returned to Mumbai. The ND Studios in Karjat will host the funeral.
