Viju Shah opens up about composing songs for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan!
Miyan Bade Among the most famous movies to come out in the 1990s is Chote Miyan. With Govinda and Amitabh Bachchan as the main parts, the 1998 film was an absolute masala entertainer, with their funny dance routines and amusing friendship.

Even now, people still love the iconic characters from David Dhawan's film, Bade and Chote Miyan. Viju Shah (Vijay Kalyanji Shah), the film's music composer, recently talked about his experience working on the project.
Viju Shah recalls writing upbeat tunes for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan at a recent media engagement. Shah described the roles, Govinda and Amitabh Bachchan as Arjun Singh and Pyare Mohan, respectively, as 'Bhindi bazaar types'.
"The characters were total Bhindi bazar type. And of course, I knew David Dhawan. For him, song means something that should make him move his body, and then he feels convinced," the music composer told.
Shah remarked that the songs were a "little different" than the popular music at the time, referring to the soundtrack album's distinct desi vibes. "It was Indian only, but heavy," he revealed.
Shah went on to say that he used a range of Indian musical instruments to write the songs in order to capture the mood of the characters.
Viju Shah went into further detail about collaborating on song compositions with lyricist Sameer and director David Dhawan. Shah recalled that they would confirm the tracks by 10 am after discussing them for an hour at 9 am.
Speaking of one of his favorite songs from the movie Kisi Disco Mein Jayein, Shah revealed that the first line he wrote for the song was Chalo Ishq Ladayein. The song's composer referred to it as "fully commercial" and said that the outcome was really good.
Out of all the songs in the Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda movie, Viju Shah said that he "prefers" the title track. It was the first song Shah recorded for the movie, he continued.
Govinda and Amitabh Bachchan shared a dual role in the 1998 movie Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Paresh Rawal, Anupam Kher, and Ramya Krishnan were also in it. In the movie, Govinda's on-screen love interest was Raveena, but Big B was coupled with Ramya.
