Ameesha Patel, an actress, is presently busy promoting Gadar 2, her forthcoming movie. Sunny Deol, the actress's co-star in Gadar, has reconnected with her. Sunny will play Tara Singh in the movie, and she will reprise her role as Sakina. The first episode was a huge box office success. The anticipation for its sequel is strong because director Anil Sharma is making a comeback with it after a long absence. Ameesha recently discussed her previous relationship with director Vikram Bhatt during a promotional event. She explained how her romance with him had a negative impact on her work.

Ameesha has never been shy in expressing her views. The actress recently admitted to Bollywood Hungama that talking about her connection with Vikram had a negative impact on her career. She revealed, "In this industry if you're honest, honesty is not welcomed. And I am too honest because for me, life is black and white and you get what you see with me. I am someone who wears my heart on my sleeves. I think that has been the biggest drawback for me in my life. And definitely, the only two relationships that I ever had in public, they did take a beating on my career. And for 12-13 years, I was like, 'No men, all peace. I want nothing in my life.'"

Ameesha and Vikram allegedly dated for close to five years. The actress from Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai went on to explain why she believes her career suffered when she made her romance known to the world. She explained why some individuals find a girl's single status attractive. Ameesha further added, "Because the single status of a girl is always more attractive for the people that you work around. It's always more attractive for your audiences. And they feel if you're single or you're dating someone in the industry or a superstar, that only benefits your career. Otherwise, they don't accept it. A heroine dating a hero can still do films with the hero and continue getting work. For me, that was not the case. So, it does take a beating but you learn from it."
