The Hera Pheri 3 Feud: Akshay Kumar Confirms Legal Battle with Paresh Rawal!

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has finally broken his silence regarding the ongoing controversy surrounding veteran actor Paresh Rawal's exit from the highly anticipated Hera Pheri 3. Speaking at the trailer launch of his upcoming film Housefull 5, Kumar not only addressed the public's "foolish" remarks aimed at Rawal but also confirmed that the matter has escalated to a serious legal dispute.
The Hera Pheri 3 saga took a dramatic turn when Paresh Rawal, beloved for his iconic role as Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, announced his departure from the film. This decision led to a reported ₹25 crore lawsuit filed by Akshay Kumar's production house, Cape of Good Films, citing breach of contract.
During the media interaction, when a journalist used the word "foolish" to describe Rawal's exit, Akshay Kumar was quick to interject. "Let me first tell you, using this kind of word, like 'foolish' for my co-star, I would not appreciate that. That's not right," he stated firmly. He emphasized his long-standing bond with Rawal, saying, "I have worked with him for the last 32 years. We are very good friends. He's a great actor. I really admire him."
However, Kumar also made it clear that the situation is far from resolved. He alluded to the gravity of the matter, confirming that it has now moved into legal territory. "Whatever the issue is, I don't think this is the place where I am going to talk about it because it's a very serious matter. It's a matter which is going to be handled by the court and things like that. So, I don't think I am going to speak about it here," Kumar said, declining to elaborate on the specifics of the legal proceedings.
Paresh Rawal, through his lawyer Ameet Naik, had previously issued a statement asserting his "rightful termination and exit" from the project. His legal team clarified that the decision to withdraw came after the production failed to provide crucial elements like a complete story, screenplay, and a draft of a long-form agreement, which they deemed "fundamental to the engagement." They also mentioned that the original Hera Pheri producer, Firoz Nadiadwala, had raised issues regarding the film's making, leading Rawal to return his signing amount of ₹11 lakh with interest.
While fans of the cult comedy franchise are left in dismay over the potential disruption to the much-awaited reunion of the original trio – Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal – the legal battle between the two stalwarts seems to have put Hera Pheri 3's future in jeopardy. With both parties now engaging in legal recourse, the fate of Baburao and the iconic franchise hangs in the balance, awaiting the court's verdict.
