Supriya Pathak talks about playing Hansa in Khichdi 2!

Bollywood veteran Supriya Pathak has acted in several successful films and TV series. Though film enthusiasts have praised her roles in films such as Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bobby Jasoos, and Mimi, her beloved character Hansa from Khichdi remains a beloved figure. The actress talked about her experience playing the iconic character decades after it was first portrayed in the Indian comedy film Khichdi: The Movie, which is making a direct sequel.
Recently, Aatish Kapadia, director of Khichdi 2, Supriya Pathak, JD Majethia, Vandana Pathak, Anang Desai, and Rajeev Mehta had an exclusive conversation with a media source. The actress was questioned if it was tough for her to play the well-known role Hansa after all these years at the tête-à-tête.
Responding to the same, the Mimi actress posted, “This time, when we read the script and we’re discussing about bringing Khichdi back, I told Aatish Kapadia that for me, it was very important that I bring back the innocence and the beauty of Hansa." "Life has moved on and I have worked on many things after that as an actor, but for me, Hansa never leaves me,” she told adding that she can do Hansa anywhere and at any time.
Even though she adores the role, the seasoned actor found it difficult to restore Hansa's innocence. Pathak clarified, “That’s because sometimes I think that as an actor, you become a little smarter. Since you have done this multiple times you be like ‘I know how to do it’. So, I would continuously tell Aatish to keep me in check, ‘I don’t want to go out. I want to keep that innocence'.”
The actress of Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi continued by saying that Hansa should be allowed to be herself. “And I think that was the nice and interesting part of doing Hansa. But I never had any problem while doing Hansa. When I first did it, I worked really hard on it but now I feel that she’s a part of my life,” Pathak ended chat.
On September 30, the teaser for Khichdi 2: Mission Paanthukistan was unveiled. The movie is slated to hit theaters on November 17.
