Deepika Padukone in King? The Saga Continues with Siddharth Anand's Post!

King, the next movie starring Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan, has been in the news every day. Fans are thrilled by the movie's frequent updates. According to a number of recent press sources, SRK and Deepika Padukone would be teamed in the film. Additionally, there are rumors that the actress would play Suhana's mother and Shah Rukh's ex-lover in a lengthy cameo. However, fans were left perplexed by a recent post made by filmmaker Siddharth Anand on X (previously Twitter).

 

Siddharth Anand posted the tweet "False" from his X (formerly Twitter) handle on April 7, 2025. The announcement followed rumors that Deepika Padukone would play Suhana Khan's mother in the action-thriller King. Fans immediately began to speculate on the internet as to whether Anand's post was a hint of DP's appearance in the future film.

 

Fans began speculating about King shortly after. Some expressed concern that they would not be able to watch Shah Rukh Khan and DP on the big screen again, while others said that Deepika was no longer in the movie.

There was a great deal of uncertainty earlier regarding King's director. But according to a source from last year, Shah Rukh Khan's former director, Siddharth Anand, will be directing the film.

 

An industry insider revealed, “Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand are among the biggest combinations for Hindi cinema and are all set for a reunion on King. The prep work for this action-packed entertainer is underway for the last 6 months, as Siddharth Anand and his team have done multiple rounds of recce all across the globe and also designed path-breaking action sequences with stunt directors of international repute.”
