Netflix has begun streaming the popular movie OMG 2, which also featured Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi in the major roles. The actor recently stated that despite the movie being aimed at kids, parents can't let their kids see it because the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) certified it as adults-only. The movie was based on a true story about a young child who was expelled from school, according to Akshay Kumar.

Akshay Kumar recently told a media outlet that he isn't motivated by money when he produces a film with a social message. He told, “It is my way of giving back to my society. I know if I do one Singh is Kinng, or Sooryavanshi, or Rowdy Rathore, I will make 3-4 times more.”

Additionally, Khiladi Kumar claimed that he could easily make enjoyable movies that would bring in more money, but he chooses to make movies like Padman, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, and Airlift instead because they have powerful social themes. He stated, “It’s not about money. I know the business isn’t even that much but it’s not about the business.”

The OMG 2 actor further revealed, “Has anyone dared to make a film about masturbation and sex education? You tell me if anyone has made any film on this, either here or in Hollywood. I made that film (OMG 2) for children. It is a film to be shown to children. Unfortunately, it cannot be shown because it was given an adult film certificate and there is nothing adult in it.”

Akshay clarified that the movie's Netflix release is the exact same thing as what was screened in its theatrical premiere. Although he had the option of streaming an uncensored version, the actor said he chose to "respect" the censor board's certification. He told, “It has the same cuts that were in the theatre. I could have done that (shown the uncensored version) but I wanted to respect the censor board and I delivered what the censor board passed.”

“The incident shown in OMG 2 actually happened. The child was caught in school and was removed,” he ended the chat.
