Soha Ali Khan Shares Why Her Dad Was 'Screaming' at Her Birth!
Tue April 15th, 2025
Cricket players and Bollywood actresses have long been famous partnerships; Sharmila Tagore and Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi were among the first to do so. Sharmila married the cricket player when she was at the top of her game, and the two of them have three kids: Soha, Saba, and Saif. Soha said in a recent interview that her father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, had anticipated that she would be a boy at birth.
According to a station, Soha Ali Khan revealed that her father was so thrilled about her birth that he went around the hospital hallways yelling that "he" should be made a fast bowler.
But when they found out the baby was a girl, the idea was shelved because, at the time, women had few chances in cricket. Her family could have thought about developing her as a bowler if that had happened today, she continued.
In the same interview, Soha said she has a liking for sports, especially badminton, despite never having learned cricket. She clarified that although she never received any official cricket training, her passion was greatly influenced by her upbringing in an athletic setting.
The actress from Chhorii 2 also emphasized that the Pataudi family has always placed a strong value on physical fitness—not for show, but for strength. She went on to say that she and her husband, Kunal, try to teach their daughter, Inaaya, the same principles.
Soha stated in the interview that she and her family place a higher priority on developing their daughter to be strong and independent, despite the fact that many people often wish for their daughters to be well-behaved and their males to be strong.
They want her to be able to defend herself without help from others as she grows older. Building her daughter's mental toughness and self-belief is crucial, according to Soha, so that she will have the bravery and confidence to defend herself in the event that she ever finds herself in an awkward circumstance.
