The Raazi star Jaideep Ahlawat admits being advised to tip paparazzi!
Raazi, directed by Meghna Gulzar, is still regarded as one of Bollywood's best spy movies. Along with performing well at the box office, the movie—which starred Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt in key roles—also won over a lot of people's hearts.

Recently, Jaideep Ahlawat, who played a very significant role in the movie and has established himself in the industry, talked about a situation he encountered while filming. In an interview with a newspaper, the actor disclosed that he was requested to pay in order to improve his social media presence.

In the interview, Jaideep Ahlawat discussed how he has been the target of abuse because he is not a social media user. The actor acknowledged that he blocked them when he was encouraged to step up his social media game during the Raazi filming. He went on to explain that it truly astonished him to be asked to pay money in order to grow his social media following.

“When I asked them what kind of fruit they would bear, they just reiterated that it would drive up my follower count. And when I kept prodding them, they were also confused about how that would benefit my career,” revealed the actor. The Jaane Jaan actor joked that he wasn't doing these things to get more social media mileage.

Speaking further about giving in to the demands of the film industry, Jaideep said he has never felt the need to go to movie premieres or encouraged rumors about him to be published. Despite this, people continue to give him advice on how to become a well-known commercial figure. “Thank god, gossip has never been written about me. I was also told to buy a bigger car. And as for my social media, if the number of followers has to increase someday, it will happen on its own,” he further reveals.

Regarding the contemporary fixation with the paparazzi culture, Jaideep described it as the preference of individuals who believe it is imperative to be noticed and photographed by the paparazzi at airports and gyms. “It’s their choice, and it works for them. I too wanted to succumb to it out of anger,” said the Jaane Jaan actor. He admitted that his team also advised him to jump into this trend and tip off photographers.

But he changed his mind after making up his mind. He went on to say that there are a lot of things to consider, such as what to wear if there will be photographers around, and he wants to avoid all of this.
