Miles Teller's homage to Top Gun: Maverick Flight Instructor Charles Coleman!
When discussing the Top Gun: Maverick flight instructor Charles Coleman, Miles Teller uses only modest language. According to accounts, Coleman died during an air show on October 20, 2024, in a plane crash.

The aforementioned air event took place in New Mexico, where Teller paid his respects on social media after the passing of a person he greatly admires.

Sharing a long post on X (formerly Twitter), Miles Teller wrote "RIP Chuck Coleman," while also mentioning that he trained the actors in Top Gun: Maverick as an aerobatics flight instructor.

The War Dogs star also described Coleman as a "aerospace engineer, air show and test pilot, and our friend and ally," calling him a "instrumental" individual in the film's production.

Remembering that the cast of the 2022 Tom Cruise movie always felt at ease with Coleman, Teller continued to share, “He was kind, humble and curious about others and the world we live in.”

The actor from the 2015 film Fantastic Four said that Coleman had died too soon, but that his contributions to the world will always endure. He also thanked the flight instructor for the memories he and the actor shared.

Officials from the City of Las Cruces said in a statement that the accident occurred at the Las Cruces International Airport at approximately 2:30 pm.

Bradley Bradshaw, the son of Nick "Goose" Bradshaw, was portrayed by Miles Teller. For those who are unaware, in the 1986 original Top Gun film, Goose was portraying himself as a close friend of Tom Cruise.
