Despite Lana Del Rey's ongoing appeal, her admirers are furious because of her repeated disappointment at the Grammy Awards. As a result, the hashtag #JusticeforLana is trending on social media. Despite receiving 11 nominations for the esteemed music awards, the musician has not yet taken home the trophy. The unforeseen consequences of Lana Del Rey's nominations, such as Taylor Swift inviting her on stage for the Album of the Year acceptance speech, gave this year's Grammy Awards an extra layer of controversy.
Lana Del Rey has received 11 nominations at the Grammy Awards but has never taken home a trophy. She was nominated for two awards this year for her album "Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd." However, she lost both, as Paramore won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and boygenius won the alternative category.
To make matters worse, Lana Del Rey's producer Jack Antonoff—who has worked with both Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey—was named the winner of the Producer of the Year, Non-Classical category. This has disappointed Lana's supporters, who feel that Lana was overlooked for this honor.
