Wed July 17th, 2024
Maybe the most well-known and prosperous fan of Eminem is Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson. On Monday, July 15, 50 Cent celebrated the release of Eminem's The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) last week on social media. His caption not only expressed the utmost appreciation but also confirmed what the majority of fans had been thinking: understanding the lyrics.
He posted a portion of the Evil chorus, expressing his confusion about the complexity of Eminem's music. Fifty penned: "Yo @eminem sh** is crazy it takes me a while to understand the details of this one."
The Death of Slim Shady, a 19-track album, was released on July 12th, four years after Eminem's previous album Music to Be Murdered By, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 in 2020. The opening track off the new album, Houdini, features Without Me throwback videos that premiered in May and featured cameos from a number of superstars, including Pete Davidson, Snoop Dogg, and 50 Cent.
Recently, Eminem released a PSA alerting fans to follow the tracks on the album in order as they tell the elaborately conceptualized tale of the album. The sixth track on this new album, Evil, features Em's vocals:
"Evil (Yeah), I'm so evil
Rotten to the core, a f**kin' twisted cerebral
I'm so evil, so evil
It's obvious that I am not like other people."
