A R Rahman is the new ambassador of Sikkim tourism.
The Oscar-winning composer will promote the state as a destination for both Indians looking for an exciting holiday within the country and foreigners who want to discover a special part of the subcontinent. Besides that he’ll also collaborate with local musicians from the Himalayan state to further popularise its famous rock and Nepali music. Sikkim already boasts over 1.2 million visitors a year, and I’m sure that number will go up even more with Rahman’s backing.
