It is very disturbing as there is no information on sexual individuality, says Karan Johar!

Recently, it was a great moment for India as the Supreme Court scrapped Section 377 and it decriminalised homosexuality in the country. Numerous Bollywood celebs praised this stunning decision by the SC and it was a celebration all over the country. Filmmaker Karan Johar posted, "Historical judgment!!!! So proud today! Decriminalising homosexuality and abolishing #Section377 is a huge thumbs up for humanity and equal rights! The country gets its oxygen back!"

 

Lately, during a chat, Karan spoke about the awareness of sexual individuality in the country.

He told, "It is very disturbing as firstly there is no information on sexual individuality. I think the most important thing is when there are information and awareness, it leads to understanding it and then it leads to getting you an emotion towards it. When you don't have an understanding and awareness of what it is, how deeply rooted and emotional it is, well that's how it is."

 

Karan further said, "When a man loves a woman or a man loves a man, the level of intensity is not something that you are supposed to judge. It's something you have to evolve with, it's something you have to accept, and it is a part of the human DNA."

 

Karan further added that Log kya kahenge (what will people say) phenomenon has to end because it does not matter what anybody says because eventually what they say will pass but your life stays.
