Rani Mukerji to be back as fierce cop Shivani Shivaji Roy in film Mardaani 2!

Beautiful actress Rani Mukerji is a wonderful actress, and in her career span of 20 years, she has given some remarkable acts. Now, Rani has reached at that stage of her career where she doesn't need a male hero to make her movie a hit or appealing. She gave a wonderful performance as a cop in the movie Mardaani in 2014. The actress was last seen in the movie Hichki (2018).

 

As per reports, the makers of Mardaani are planning to make a sequel with Rani as the lead in the movie. The writer of the first movie, Gopi Puthran will be directing Mardaani 2. About the movie, Rani Mukerji revealed, "Mardaani is and will always be extremely close to my heart. Right since its release, everyone has asked me time and again when I would be doing Mardaani 2 and I’m sure this announcement will come as a pleasant surprise to them all. Gopi has written an extraordinary script that we all love and I can’t wait to start shooting this film soon."

 

She further added, "Shivani will face a cold, merciless villain who has no empathy, no fear of God and is pure evil. The character has been written superbly and I'm excited to find out who the actor will be."

 

Rani Mukerji will start shooting for the film next year.
