Is Aishwarya not happy with the script of Gulab Jamun?

It's been a while since there have been conjectures about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan being approached for Anurag Kashyap's Gulab Jamun. Both the actors also confirmed the same.

 

In an interview with a tabloid, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had cited, "We have been approached for Gulab Jamun, but baaki baaton ka I don’t know what to say. We have heard the script, that’s all."

 

Abhishek Bachchan too had confirmed the same in a Facebook Live where he was questioned about the same. He had told, "Yes guys, both Aishwarya and I have been approached for Gulab Jamun. The modalities are on and hopefully if things work out we shall make an official announcement soon. I don't like to talk about my films till they are signed because I am very superstitious."

 

And while Abhishek and Aishwarya enthusiasts were waiting for their favourite couple to work together on the big screen, it seems that there is a change in plan for Abhi-Aish and their next movie together.

 

Seemingly, Aishwarya has put the movie on hold as she has demanded certain changes in the script. A source close to the movie informed a daily disclosed, "Aishwarya's next film will be Fanney Khan with Anil Kapoor. She has also said yes to Mani Ratnam's next. For now, she has asked the makers of Gulab Jamun to make certain changes to the script, and then she will decide if she wants to be a part of the film."
