Synopsis

Mukkabaaz is a 2017 Indian sports drama film co-written, co-produced and directed by Anurag Kashyap. It was screened in the Special Presentations section at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival and the 2017 Mumbai Film Festival. Produced jointly by Anand L. Rai and Phantom Films, the film stars Vineet Kumar Singh, Zoya Hussain, Ravi Kishan and Jimmy Shergill. Mukkabaaz is scheduled to release theatrically on 12 January 2018.

Synopsis: A low caste boxer (Shravan) trains at a gym controlled by a local Don (Bhagwan Das Mishra). Shravan falls for Mishra's niece (Sunaina). The Don does not approve of this match. Shravan strives to win Sunaina's hand in marriage and become a successful boxer while trying to avoid retaliation from the Don.
